Consistent lightweight construction

The studio boards are actually made of paper - and yet they are surprisingly stable. They withstand a surface pressure of up to 20 tons. The honeycomb construction in the core of the studio boards makes this strength possible with a minimum weight of just 4 kilos.

Weight is the natural enemy of flexibility. The lighter the more mobile, quicker and easier it is to assemble, disassemble & reassemble the studio boards by one person - and thus adapt them to the situational requirements.

The simpler and faster something is, the higher the probability that it will be used. The more tedious a function is, the less frequently it is used. The classic USM shelf is an example of this. It is indeed very flexible, but this flexibility is rarely used. Anyone who has ever set up or converted one knows why...
